DOMINION GUILD CHARTER
INTRODUCTION…
Dominion is a VANGUARD SOH guild that was established with the sole intent of becoming a guild that is feared and respected by all who hear the name. We are a guild focused on group PVP and PVE raiding. While not as hard core as some guilds, we will continue to strive to master all aspects of the game including crafting and diplomacy. We want to build a strong self supporting community of like minded players that will continue to strive at being the best in all aspects of the game.
GUILD POLICIES…
- Always treat your fellow guild mates with respect. There will be times that disagreements occur, however flaming of a fellow guild mate WILL NOT be tolerated.
- No hardcore swearing in guild chat/vent before midnight central. We do have parents in the guild that have children watching/listening to their parents play.
- Remember at all times that you are a representative of the guild. We will try to maintain some semblance of HONOR while on PVP raids. We will avoid griefing/corpse camping and spamming in enemy general chat. We will let our weapons do the talking for us while wreaking havoc amongst our enemies.
- No whining about loot fallout. As raids are implemented within game, PHAT loot will be distributed based off class need and raid participation. A DKP system will be created at some point to ensure loot is handed out in the fairest way possible. Our ultimate goal is for everyone to be decked out head to foot in the best gear the game has to offer. If you think you have been cheated out of an item DO NOT spam it in guild/raid chat. Take all issues to the appropriate officer.
- As raids are implemented within the game, we will require guild members to be actively participating in raids. We understand that real life issues take priority, so if you CAN NOT participate in a raid, let the appropriate raid officers know ASAP. This ensures that we maintain appropriate raid readiness and can plan raids accordingly. Remember this is where we will be getting our PHAT loot and establishing our PVP legacy; so it is in your best interest to participate in all events.
- You need to remain active. If a member goes more then 30 days without playing and does not inform guild leaders of reason, they will be removed for inactivity. This also goes for alts that are sitting inactive within guild. If you are going to be gone for longer then 10 days, as a courtesy inform raid officers so they can plan accordingly. There may be an opportunity for reinstatement to guild after absence; however this will be looked at case by case.
- Ventrilo is MANDATORY! We understand that some of you may not like talking on vent. However during PVE/PVP raids we require that you have the ability to listen to VENT chat. This ensures that we all remain on the same page and avoid any confusion.
- Most importantly use common sense. Most of the things listed above are common sense, things that everyone should already know. We are all adults, so continue to behave with that in mind.
- Last but not least is HAVE FUN! This is a game, and for most of us it is a way to relax, meet new people, and have a good time. Lets all do our part to make this a community that will grow beyond the length of Vanguard.
RANK STRUCTURE…
- GUILD LEADER: The guild leader is the founder of the guild and is the ultimate voice in all guild decisions. If you have a problem with a guild officer then this is who will resolve it. All other issues/questions should be directed to the appropriate officers.
- COUNCIL: These guild members are council to the guild leader and assist in the development of guild policy. They are the voting members when considering the nomination and promotion of new officers.
- Officers: These guild members have an area of responsibility and are directly responsible for handling all issues, questions and suggestions pertaining to that area. They are the voting members when considering the nomination and promotion of guild members to Elder and Member status.
- ELDERS: These guild members have proven themselves to be dedicated to the improvement of the guild, and have continually shown a willingness to help out other members of the guild. Elders are the only guild members that will be considered for promotion to officer.
- MEMBERS: These guild members have proven themselves to be Dominion guild material. They have passed there two week trial period and have been nominated and voted in by a majority of officers and are now a valuable part of the guild.
- INITIATE: This is a two week trial period to determine if you will fit in with the Dominion guild family. You must apply on the guild website, and have downloaded Ventrilo voice chat to be considered for promotion to member. If these two simple steps have not been taken and/or you have been deemed unworthy by a majority of officers, you will be kindly asked to leave the guild.
SUGGESTIONS…
This is a community not a dictatorship. We are interested in hearing any suggestions on how to improve the guild. Feel free to voice your concerns and ideas to any officer in game, or initiate a post on the forums. Your voice will be heard!
